The Big Question:

There is one big question that we all must answer in life, and the sooner we answer this question, the sooner we can begin negotiating our reality. It makes no difference how old we are or what our circumstances are, we’re all in this together.

The big question is a simple one, and the answer determines the outcome of our lives. This question is found in Mark 10:51. “Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus, was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’ Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!' Jesus stopped and said ‘Call him.’ So they called to the blind man, ‘Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.’ Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ Jesus asked him. The blind man said, ‘Rabbi, I want to see.’ ‘Go’ said Jesus, ‘your faith has healed you.’ Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.”

This is the question “What do you want me to do for you?” God is the All in All, there is nothing but God in this world. So, you could read it like this. “What do you want the universe to do for you”, or “What do you want out of life?”

God, the Universe, Source, your Higher Self, however you want to refer to it (it makes no difference whatsoever) is Love, and love gives. God is quite literally bursting at the seams to give you what you truly want, but you must answer the question. “What do you want me to do for you?”

Here’s a little secret, if you don’t answer this question, other people will answer it for you.

The above passage of scripture is very interesting. Jesus obviously knew the man yelling at him was blind, so it seems like it would be obvious that he would want to receive his sight; however, Jesus still asked him What do you want me to do for you?”

You must answer this question because you are the center of the universe. As Neville Goddard often said, “The entire universe is simply yourself pushed out.” It has to come from you, and the moment you answer this question honestly, your life will begin to change.

Also, did you notice that before the blind man answered the question, it says that he “threw his cloak aside”? This is very symbolic. The cloak represents outside influence, the ego, and the opinions of others. We must cast all of this aside, and get honest with ourselves (God) and confess what it is that we truly want out of life.

If you haven’t done this already, make today the day! Spend some quiet time with yourself, go inward, deep into your heart, and in this space you will hear a still and loving voice asking you “What do you want me to do for you?”

Take as much time as you need, and when you are ready, give an honest answer. Say it out loud to yourself and then write it down.

This is a magical moment…

In love and light,

-J
