Confident, Bold and Fearless:
“Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in good time for every need {appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it}.” (Hebrews 4:16)
This is a pretty amazing scripture, basically we’re being told to walk right up to the throne of Jesus Christ with a confident swagger and a spring in our step. No fear, bold. Sounds kind of daunting doesn’t it? But if we understand who we are, it all makes perfect sense.
We would expect a king or a God to be confident approaching their throne, why wouldn’t they be, they’re a God after all! And here lies the secret, this is who we are. We are God wearing these human garments, that’s why we’re told to approach the throne in such a manner.
But just where exactly is this throne? The Bible tells us that “After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.” (Mark 16:19) As God, our throne is at our right hand, or more specifically, the right side of our brain. This is where our magical human imagination (Jesus) is seated. This is where we find mercy, grace and appropriate help for whatever we may need. This is what the imagination (which creates our reality) is for.
We have every right to live life to the fullest, with boldness and confidence. No matter what circumstances we may find ourselves in, we can waltz right up to the throne and make a seismic shift in our reality.
You are way more powerful than you give yourself credit for!
I’m reminded of the old Star Trek intro: “Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. It's continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no one has gone before.” (Captain Jean-Luc Picard)
Or, we could say it like this: “Imagination, the final frontier. These are the voyages of __________(your name.) Your continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new consciousness; to boldly go where you have never gone before.”
In love and light,
