Dead/Alive?:
“For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from its works of obedience is also dead.” (James 2:26)
Neville Goddard often spoke of the importance of remaining loyal to your imaginal creations, and this is precisely what this verse if talking about. You are the animating power of your world, you are the light, you are the salt, you are what is giving your reality its flavor; and if you pull the rug out from under your imaginal creations by not being obedient to them, they die.
It’s almost scary how much power we have. Why do you think we have timeless sayings such as: “Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it!”
When you enter your “upper room”, your imagination (which is Jesus Christ), and you create something which you desire to be, or to have, or to experience, you must remain obedient to it throughout the duration of the gestation period which follows.
Imaginal creations are real before you see them, but their physical appearance often takes time to manifest in our physical 3D reality. This stretch of time is the gestation period, and it varies greatly depending upon the creation. A human life takes 9 months, a dog’s life takes about two months, where as birds can range anywhere from 10-30 days.
In scripture, this period is allegorized as the Sabbath. The time of rest between the creation and its physical manifestation. The tool we have been given for this is faith. For instance, say your wanting to manifest the ideal version of yourself, and for you, this requires weight loss. You enter your imagination and/or meditation, and see yourself as you want to be, physically fit and feeling healthy. Now, at this point it is done, your creation is finished, and you must be obedient to it. You must begin to think and act as this ideal version of yourself, and in time it will make its grand entrance into your physical reality.
Faith.
This is “fighting the good fight” and why we’re encouraged to “keep the faith,” and to “observe the Sabbath to keep it holy.”
Your life, our life, needs you to be faithful to you.
In love and light,
