Easy Money:
Growing up in church, we were taught that money is evil. We were taught that Jesus and his disciples were poor, humble fishermen without a dime to their name. I remember being confused about this as a kid, if money was evil, then why was the pastor always asking for it? And why were the villains in all the kid’s movies always rich evil people like Cruella de Vil?
This is how deep rooted unconscious beliefs get seated.
It took me 30+ years to truly understand money.
Money is good, and there is nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Damn, it feels so good to be able to say that without guilt or shame.
Over the course of my spiritual awakening, I developed a simple way that you can come to the same understanding about money that I now have. So, if you grew up like I did, if you have lived a life with negative beliefs about money, listen up.
This simple question will change your life.
What is the feeling of having money? Have you ever received a decent sum of money? Tax return? An unexpected payment? A gift? An inheritance? Or perhaps you just worked hard and finally got enough money in the bank to pay your bills. It doesn’t matter how you got the money, the question is, how did it make you feel?
I don’t care who you are, the feeling of having money is a feeling of relief. It’s a feeling of security, a feeling of things are going to be okay. You know the feeling. Yes you do. Money makes life easier.
The feeling of money is a good feeling. It makes you feel better, more at peace, comfortable. Kind of sounds similar to the feeling of love, does it not?
If money produces these kinds of feelings, then this is a clue. Think about it for a minute.
At the end of the day it’s all about energy. We are energy beings, and we attract and repel depending on the energy we are giving off. Like attracts like.
I have no idea what your personal situation is, or what you would like to achieve during your life; however, if you would like more money, simply take time each day to feel the energy of money. When you meditate, imagine the feeling of relief washing over you. What would it feel like if all your bills were paid? What would it feel like to be able to do the things for people in your life that you’ve always wanted to do? What would it feel like to never have to worry about your finances?
This is the energy of money. Feel it.
There’s a little story in the Bible where the disciples are telling Jesus that they need to pay their taxes to Ceasar, they’re pissed off about it, and they’re trying to get Jesus to agree with them about how stupid it is that they have to pay this money. Jesus just smiles, and then tells them to go catch a fish, and when they do, they find a gold coin in the fish’s mouth worth the amount they owed in taxes. (Matthew 17:27)
This is an allegory about how money is stashed all over this world, in unexpected places, and it’s just waiting to reveal itself to us as soon as we change our thinking about it.
It’s like a divine treasure hunt.
Change the way you look at money, because when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
In love and light,
