No clinging:

“Jesus said to her, Do not cling to me [do not hold me], for I have not yet ascended to the father. But go to my brethren and tell them, I am ascending to my father, and to my God and your God.” (John 20:17)

This verse is talking about spiritual awakening, ascension, enlightenment and/or obtaining Christ consciousness. I highly, highly recommend that you read all of John chapter 20 and 21; and even more so if you are in the process of a spiritual awakening, that’s precisely what these two chapters are for.

The main takeaway in the above passage is that as we are ascending, we must not cling to our old familiar belief that Jesus is something/someone other than us. We can’t hold onto the secular belief that the church constantly instills and reinforces, that Christ is someone separate and outside of ourselves that we need to “invite” into our heart. This false, man-made belief is what blocks us from obtaining Christ consciousness.

Jesus is not and never was anything other than who we are now. The Word became flesh, all flesh, and dwelt/dwells among us, as us.

The religious ego wants nothing more than to cling onto the concept of duality, and it will try to hold on with all its might!

Release…let go…love, joy, and peace awaits just on the other side.

This is your divine nature.

Breathe in, you are not alone, we are one and the same.

In love and light,

-J
