Until now…
“Until now, you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” (John 16:24)
and…
“And whatever you ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 14:13)
These verses are speaking of awakening to our divine nature, realizing that we are the I AM and that Jesus Christ is our wonderful human imagination.
The first verse is referring to the time in our life when we are asleep, the years spent believing that God is something separate from us, all the time we spent believing that God is someone we pray to rather than someone we pray through.
Duality.
We spent that time asking nothing in the name of Jesus; oh, we may have prayed something like “in the name of Jesus amen” but this is not truly asking in His name. These are just merely words floating around the ether because they are directed to some entity we believe is residing somewhere beyond the clouds, so it’s no wonder that these prayers were rarely answered.
For us to truly pray or ask in the name of Jesus, means to take His name as our own, knowing that we are one and the same. “I and the father are one” or we could say “we and our father are one.” There is no separation. We must “be still and know I AM God.” (Psalms 46:10)
Once we awaken to this truth, we can truly ask and receive and our joy will be full. When we pray as the I AM we are not just asking, we are claiming and creating, living as one with God and the universe. We call upon the infinite resources readily available to us, appropriating what is rightfully and eternally ours.
“Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all of His benefits.” (Psalms 103:2)
Yes, once we awaken to our divine nature, the benefit package activates, and it never expires.
All we do now is “taste and see that the Lord is good.” (Psalms 34:8)
In love and light,
