Seasons of Change:
“For clear space and soundness of mind, I’ve let you play me for some time. One can only receive and retain, but the lies you recite for your gain…I’m above, over you I’m standing above claiming unconditional love, above.” - Layne Staley, “I’m Above” {Mad Season}
Spring is here! Well almost, I woke up to frost on the ground and a frozen windshield, but hey, that’s Oklahoma for you. The spring equinox marks the Sun’s entry into Aries, symbolizing a renewed energy and a fresh start. It is the season of new beginnings. Embrace it.
Spring represents going from death to life, it is a time of spiritual awakening. Things blossom. This season is built into you, and you are being renewed as we speak.
“Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2nd Corinthians 5:17)
I would encourage you to allow your imagination to bloom during this time. As you look around your world and see all the beautiful flowers blossoming and coming to life, let yourself see, and feel your connection to them. As above, so below.
I speak a lot about God, and how we as human beings are in fact the I AM. I know this to be true from personal divine revelation, but also, at the risk of sounding childish, because the Bible tells me so! Let’s take a look at John 20:23.
“If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
Scripture emphasizes that only God has the authority and power to forgive sins, “Who can forgive sins but God alone?” (Mark 2:7) So, what are we to do with this? We’re clearly told that if we forgive anyone’s sins then they are forgiven, and if we don’t forgive them, they’re not forgiven; furthermore, only God can forgive sins.
We are the I AM.
If we choose not to forgive our fellow humans, in actuality, we’re choosing not to forgive ourselves. We are all one. When we’re told to “love our neighbor as ourselves” it’s because our neighbors are ourselves! As stated earlier, spring is a time of renewal, but if we harbor unforgiveness then this renewal can’t happen, and then we find ourselves fighting against nature, out of the flow. This causes what I call a “mad season” where new things are trying to grow while being stifled through the soil of unforgiveness
Look at the season we just came out of, winter. Things die in order to bloom.
As we enter this new season of Spring, let’s forgive anything we may be holding onto against another, let it die, this will allow us to bloom and blossom!
In love and light,
-J
