Self-Fulfilling Prophecy:
“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).” (Jeremiah 33:3 - Amplified)
“But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message {on His own authority}; but He will tell whatever He hears {from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him}, and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come {that will happen in the future}. (John 16:13 - Amplified)
We are the sole creators of our personal reality, and our greatest hindrance is not knowing what we truly desire. We are told “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.” (Psalms 37:4)
So we have a divine promise that if we delight ourselves in God, then we will be given the desires of our heart. This scripture is telling us that we should take great pleasure in our own divinity, this is what delight means, and if we do this and receive the desires of our heart then it is delightful indeed!
But what if we don’t know what our true desires are? We must look at the first two scriptures written above. We’re told that when we call to God they will answer us, and show us great and mighty things that we are unaware of; and that we will be shown things that are to come in the future. This is referring to prophecy, but not as the church has interpreted it. Prophecy, as understood by many, is associated with doomsday events that will happen at some later date in the future; but this is not what these scriptures are telling us at all!
The Bible is magical and it unfolds in our human minds. It is a prophetic book for sure, but it is all about personal, self-fulfilling Prophecy.
So, when we call to God we will be shown things that are to come, but we must understand that we are the ones who are creating these things, they are not dictated or set in stone. We are the animating power of life.
The definition of prophecy is: An inspired utterance. A declaration of divine will and purpose. A prediction of things to come. We’re told in the Bible to “Earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.” (1st Corinthians 14:1) Why are we being told this? Because this is how we create our personal reality. We are walking, talking, self-fulfilling prophecies; and we do this by “Calling those things which be not as though they were.” (Romans 4:17)
Prophesying over our own lives creates our reality. The problem is that many of us don’t know what we really desire, therefore we’re not prophesying over our lives, and we end up just being tossed to and fro by the winds of change. That’s not a very fulfilling way to spend our lives.
We need to call unto God, and we do this by “earnestly desiring the gift of prophecy.” The act of truly desiring something is “calling” to God. The divine language of God is desire. So, desire to truly know what it is that you really want out of life, and it will be revealed to you, and then you start “calling those things which be not as though they were” this is prophecy; and from this point, you begin to “walk by faith and not by sight.” (2nd Corinthians 5:7)
You are a self-fulfilling prophecy. Just try it.
In love and light,
