Easter…Internal Rising:
“To you it has been given to know the mysteries of God, but for those outside everything is in parables.” (Mark 4:11) A parable is a story that is told as if it were true, leaving the one who hears it to discover its fictitious character and then learn its meaning, its lesson.
Today, hundreds of millions are attending an Easter church service and they do not know that it is a parable. The story of the resurrection is not an outside event but an internal one. This is the great mystery. (1st Timothy 3:16)
Easter is a reminder that we are God in the process of awakening to our own divinity. When you fall asleep every night you enter the world of dreams, another reality. You are a different character during sleep. You may be anything in your dreams and you may take on another identity, you may live in another place and have different friends and family members. Dreams are unpredictable for the most part; however, eventually you wake up and rise from sleep into this particular reality. Every morning you rise from sleep. This is a daily reminder of the resurrection.
We are God in the process of awakening.
All through the Bible we read the words “awake oh sleeper.” (Ephesians 5:14, Romans 13:11, Isaiah 52:1, Daniel 12:2)
The resurrection happens from within. “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21) And yet, hundreds of millions of well-meaning people are trying to observe the resurrection on this Easter Sunday, but it is only the parable.
When Christ resurrects within us, we awaken and rise as Him. We and our Father are one.
Happy Easter, you are an awakening wonder!
In love and light,
-J
