Unbelief:
“Is not this the Carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here among us? And they took offense at Him and were hurt [that is, they disapproved of Him, and it hindered them from acknowledging His authority] and they were caused to stumble and fall. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor (deference, reverence) except in his own country and among his relatives and in his own house. And He was not able to do even one work of power there, except that He laid his hands on a few sickly people and cured them. And He marveled because of their unbelief…” (Mark 6:3-6)
Unbelief in who you truly are is the number one hindrance to negotiating your reality. The story written above is a symbolic allegory pertaining to your personal life, and this is the magic of the Bible, the entire thing is about you.
Because of the teachings of the church, it’s very hard for many of us to honor ourselves. We’ve been taught for so many years that we’re just unworthy sinners saved by grace; however, nothing could be further from the truth. There is no separation between you and God, none. You are one and the same. You are I AM. Who is God? Say it…I AM.
Just like in the above verse, you may look at your life, and say, nope, I’m just so and so, my family is this my family is that, nothing special; and just like these scriptures reveal, this causes us to take offense at ourselves, and it blocks us from acknowledging our own authority, which prevents us from creating the reality that we really want; combine this with the duality taught by religious institutions and it’s simply a recipe for failure.
Flip the script.
Honor yourself as the I AM. Believe in it. Feel it. Be it.
In love and light,
