Never Tear Us Apart:

“I…I was standing, you were there, two worlds collided, and they could never tear us apart.” -INXS

For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

From time immemorial the organized church has taught that God is someone/something separate and outside of ourselves; however, nothing could be further from the truth. This methodology gives them power, but… “claiming themselves to be wise, they became fools.” (Romans 1:22)

They don’t understand “The mystery of which was hidden for ages, but is now revealed to his holy people.” (Colossians 1:26)

This great mystery is “I am crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20) And this crucifixion took place in the mind of God before the world began. (Ephesians 1:4)

Nothing can separate us because we are one and the same, and to teach anything other than this is blasphemy.

We can see this great mystery discussed as an allegory in the book of Job. In chapter 41, verses 11-34, we have God talking to Job about a crocodile, but keep in mind, these passages are allegorical, they contain a hidden meaning that reflects exactly what we’ve been talking about. “His scales are the crocodile’s pride, for his back is made of rows of shields shut up together as with a tight seal. One is so near to another that no air can come between them. They are joined one to another; they stick together so that they can not be separated.”

Do we really believe that God Almighty just decided one day to have an afternoon chat with some random guy about a crocodile? I think not. This story is telling us that no matter what hot air comes out of the church’s mouth, it can never come between us and God. We can never be separated, and it’s been this way since before the world began.

Show up in the world today, wherever you may be with confidence; for you and your father are one. (John 10:30)

In love and light,

-J
